Are you still living like it's 2021?

Hello Reader,

Like any platform, the marketing strategies that bring most business success on Pinterest changes over time.

That’s why it’s so important to stay on top of the latest trends! If you are living like it is 2021, you are missing the mark when it comes to Pinterest for business.

In this email I want to share a few tips to your life a little easier by sending through some key insights for marketing on Pinterest in 2022.

How do I successfully market and grow my business on Pinterest?

1. Keep Things Fresh!

I've been banging this drum for a while now, but it’s worth re-emphasizing: Pinterest loves fresh content at the moment. So don’t rely on your old pins to keep driving results! In 2022, go back in and create new ones to give your older content a new lease of life.

2. Leverage Idea Pins

If you haven’t already done so, it’s time to jump on board the idea pin bandwagon. This pin format might lack the outbound link we’ve come to love about Pinterest, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a powerful marketing tool for your business. Not only can you direct people to your profile (where you can put a link to your website), but these pins are on fire right now. Pinterest wants to push idea pins, which means they’re offering lots of organic reach to people who create them!

3. Use Video Content

Video content’s as popular on Pinterest as it is everywhere else on the internet. So use it! Thanks to video pins, you can create short clips that instantly attract peoples’ attention in their feeds. From showcasing your latest products to letting your audience “behind the scenes”, the marketing opportunities are endless.

4. Don’t Forget About Pinterest Ads

Pinterest ads are seriously underutilized. Done right, they can deliver amazing results! Remember, Pinterest users have strong buying intent when they’re on the platform. With new features being added all the time, running ads means you’ll reach many more (targeted) Pinterest users and generate newfound traffic, sales, and brand awareness in the process.
